A mustard seed yes

“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:3–4 (NIV)

When I’m empty, hungry, weak, uncertain, or overwhelmed, I’ve learned where to go: the Word. When I consume it—really take it in—it nourishes me. His faithfulness fills the emptiness. It strengthens what’s weak. It reminds me of what’s true. And it helps me recall all the ways He’s come through before.

“He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread,
But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.” Proverbs 12:11 (NKJV)

There’s a difference between trusting and toiling. The one who neglects the truth—who chases distractions and worldly priorities—misses out on the satisfaction that only comes from working the ground of faith. Planning, planting, weeding, and watering are all essential to harvest.

Our faith begins like a seed. Tiny. Easy to overlook. Easy to doubt.

But God calls us to plant it anyway.

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…” That’s what Jesus said. Just a sliver of belief, a simple “yes” can move mountains when placed in the hands of a faithful God.

“Yes, I’ll go.”
“Yes, I care.”
“Yes, I will help.”

One small act of obedience rooted in faith can grow into something far greater than we imagine.

The seed may look small—but in the hands of God, it carries a harvest.
