Time

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15–16 (NIV)

You can map out your plans and organize your schedule—but God always has the authority to interrupt and redirect. The wise learn to hold their calendars loosely, asking not just what to do next, but why.

A good prayer for today might be: Order my steps in Your Word. And when things don’t go as planned, help me discern—who is writing my master plan?

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

So, who is the master of your schedule? Who sets your pace? What’s the true purpose behind your presence?

Is it obligation? Expectation?
Is it to please someone? To check a box? To be seen?
Or is it to give your attention?
To help, listen, learn, grow?
To challenge or be challenged?
To share something of value? To pray? To participate?

Who—or what—is shaping your priorities? Where do you go for real alignment?

We have been given a precious resource called time. But more than good time management, Scripture calls us to wise living. That’s about being led by the Spirit, grounded in truth, and attentive to the deeper purpose behind what fills our days.

Let’s not just ask what’s on the schedule, but who is shaping the story?
