Here’s Looking at You
As we look back over 2022, and prepare to seek him night and day in 2023, I want to encourage you to take some time and begin to write down some phrases, some words, and some new songs of praise to the God of your salvation.
Preparing My Heart For Christmas
Even the most diligent and determined follower of Jesus can get sidetracked on the way to find the Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.
Peacemakers
Wherever you are and whatever it looks like, remember because Jesus is alive in you, you have all you need to not only survive, but thrive.
Generosity
I’ve been praying, seeking wisdom to discern the appointed places, at this specific time in history to be a participator. A unique opportunity is set before us to step up, get involved, and help ministries make an eternal difference.
Approaching Thanksgiving
Now is my chance to set the atmosphere, create the environment, and practice my priorities. There are some deliberate choices to make.
For the single woman
You are precious, favored, created for purpose and influence as a bright and beautiful work of your Creator’s hand. You have gifts, talents, creativity, tenderness, and an inner beauty that time with Jesus will only enhance.
Joining a group
I have been encouraged and strengthened in my spiritual growth in large groups and at other times the one-to-one has been the most profitable. God’s Word encourages us to gather, share, pray for one another, encourage and spur each other on in faith.
Your building site
Hearing and doing, receiving and obeying the word of God establishes life on an unshakable foundation. No matter what threatens this life, it is able to withstand the storm because it has solid and stable footings.
What difference will my life make?
Ezra had a teachable heart. He knew God’s word for himself. He not only committed it to memory, but it was embedded in his heart. It is no wonder Ezra could help people in need.
The Double Side - October 5
Eventually I had to confront the conflicting emotions rolling around in my head and threatening to take over my heart. How could I possibly embrace joy on the day that is held apart to mark my greatest source of sorrow?
Showing up
I want to be the friend who stands in the gap when they are too tired or too overcome with circumstances to pray.
Surprised by prayer
Watching your grown children become the people you prayed for them to be is an awe-inspiring, humbling experience.
Rooted in the storm
Jesus knows the difficulties our personal storm may bring. Our situation has not taken Him by surprise. He knows what is ahead.
Asking for directions
Do you ever feel lost and confused, unsure of which way to go or how to proceed on the journey of life?
What do we do with regret?
In unsettled and uncertain times, we are all vulnerable to abandoning our walk of faith and stumbling down what seems to be a safe path. Too many times in my own life it led me to a land of regret.
